My Background and What Brought Me Here

I grew up in Sioux City, Iowa, and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 2019. My grandpa sparked my interest in investing during the pandemic in 2020, and I was hooked pretty quickly. In college, I started the Northwest Investments Club and served as president as it grew to more than 160 members. I wanted to create a place where students could learn about investing early—especially since so much financial advice today comes in quick clips on social media. I’ve spent more than three years working in finance, and I’m excited to bring my energy, curiosity, and passion for helping people to Sterk Financial Services.

Why I Chose This Profession

My greatest professional motivation is helping people and building strong relationships with clients and my team. I enjoy problem solving, relationship building, and analysis, which makes this profession a natural fit for my strengths and interests. What drew me most to this profession was the analytical nature of the work. I enjoy breaking down information, studying trends, and using research to make informed decisions. Since I was first introduced to investing, I have been interested in how markets move, how businesses create value, and how disciplined analysis can lead to better long-term outcomes.

Something Unique and Different About Me

I DJed in my college town for three years, performed for crowds of more than 1,600 people, and served as the resident DJ at Powerhouse Club and Bar. I also received an esports scholarship from Northwest Missouri State University for the game Rocket League.

Outside of Work, I’m Most Passionate About

Outside of work, I enjoy video games, movies, golf, and football. I have played competitive video games since I was 10 years old. My list of top 10 movies changes often, but The Lord of the Rings trilogy is always a constant. I am also a big Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
