My Background & What Brought Me Here
I’m originally from Morrison, Colorado but Kansas has been home for me since 2017 when I moved here to go to Kansas State University. Since then, I spent 2 years in Wichita, KS working in the finance industry. My fiancé and I both wanted to make the move up to Kansas City to be closer to friends and family so this along with the opportunity with Sterk Financial Services is what brought me to the Kansas City office.
Why I Chose this Profession
Growing up, I learned the importance of financial planning from my parents and grandparents. They taught me that, while money does not directly equate to happiness, having healthy finances allows you to provide a better future for yourself, your kids, and even your grandkids. I was drawn to the financial services industry because I want to help others build a better financial future. I’m also very analytical by nature, so I find it super fulfilling to apply my analytical capabilities towards the financial planning process.
Something Unique & Different About Me
I love international travel and have been to Europe, South America, and Africa. My favorite trip was studying abroad in Brighton, England, the summer between my sophomore and junior year of college. While there, I studied global economics at the University of Sussex and was able to take weekend trips around the U.K, the Netherlands, and Italy.
Outside of work, I’m most passionate about
Staying active by going to the gym, hiking, and skiing when I’m able to travel back to Colorado. I’m also a huge K-State football fan so most of my Saturday’s are spent watching games during football season.
