Why Use a Certified Financial Planner (CFP?)
Financial matters are often one of the main issues in a person's
life. If left unmanaged, financial issues can become
a major source of worry and concern that can take over a person's
daily life. Working with a dedicated financial advisor
to develop a strategy will get you on the path that leads
to stability and financial peace-of-mind.
Choosing a financial planner may be one of the most important
decisions you make for yourself and your loved ones.
Most people think that all financial planners are "certified"
but that is not always true. Anyone can call himself
or herself a "Financial Planner", but only those who have
fulfilled the certification and renewal requirements of the
CFP Board can display the CFP certification marks behind their
name.
CFP and Certified Financial Planner are certification marks
owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards
Inc. (CFP Board) and will help you identify financial planners
that are committed to competent and ethical behavior when
assisting clients with their financial planning. Individuals
who have been certified by the CFP Board have taken the extra
step to demonstrate their professionalism by submitting to
the rigorous CFP certification process. The CFP Board
standards, called "the four E's", include education, examination,
experience, and ethical requirements, and are the very reasons
that you should make sure that the financial planner you choose
displays the CFP certification mark.
It is important to note that Sterk Financial Services, Inc. has
only Certified Financial Planners on staff. We feel
strongly that the adherence to the ethical standards set forth
in the Code of Ethics and the continuing education and certification
process demanded by the CFP Board should be of the utmost
importance to our clients. We want those that choose
to work with us to have complete confidence in Sterk Financial
Services, Inc. for their financial planning.
