 Mary Sterk
Mary Sterk, CFP®, founder of Sterk Financial Services, Inc, has been in the financial services industry for over 17 years. Having been the leading female representative for many years, she consistently ranks in the top 5 overall advisors for her broker dealer. Mary has earned numerous awards, including the prestigious Eagle's Circle Award 7 years in a row, the Leadership Council Award, and is a multiple year qualifier for the Million Dollar Roundtable's Court and Top of the Table. Mary was recently the Chairperson of the Woodbury Financial Services Representative Advisory Council.
Mary is very active in her community. She has been a part of the Premier Educations Family Values Focus Seminars, Siouxland Estate Planning Council, Women United, Greater Dakota Valley Jaycees and has taught Financial Planning courses at a local college.
Mary also works as the Regional Vice President for Woodbury Financial Services where she supervises and assists over 53 Registered Representatives in the states of Iowa, Montana, Nebraska and South Dakota.
As an avid private pilot, Mary loves flying her Piper Cherokee 235 to meet with advisors and clients alike. Her passion for bringing value to relationships with her clients, family and friends has undeniably contributed to her success.

 Matt Klemme
Matt Klemme is licensed in traditional life and health insurance, and handles investments as a Registered Representative. Matt specializes in connecting his clients with our team of attorneys and CPA's that work together as one cohesive unit.
Matt was born and raised in Akron, IA and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, IA. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Business and a Minor in Coaching while playing collegiately in basketball and golf. He then continued his education at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD where he has earned credits in pursuit of a Master's degree in Administration.
Matt spends his extra time coaching and cheering on his children in their sporting events. Matt is also pursuing courses toward his CFP® designation.

 Dave Biorn
Dave Biorn joins our team as an experienced Registered Representative, having been in the industry since 1997. Dave is licensed in traditional Life and Health insurance and offers Investment Services as a Registered Representative. He is devoted to building solid strategies that will help his clients reach their financial goals.
Dave's history includes being a high school teacher and coach and also a healthcare executive in New Jersey, Illinois, and Iowa for over 30 years.
He and his wife, Sarah, have lived in Sioux City since 1987. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. He has served on many community boards and civic organizations. Dave's interests include golfing, boating, gardening, and all kinds of music.

 Laurie Lake
Laurie Lake is the Client Services Manager. With over 8 years of experience, Laurie holds her license in Life and Health insurance, and securities and is a Registered Admin. Laurie spends her days making sure our valued clients' needs are met! In 2003 Laurie received the Woodbury Financial Services Administrative Assistant of the Year Award.

Kathy Kroger
When calling Sterk Financial Services you often get to speak with Kathy Kroger. Kathy is the Administrative Coordinator. Kathy makes it her priority daily to work with clients, handle scheduling, and coordinate special projects.

Amy Heaton, CFO, keeps us all coordinated. With over 12 years of accounting experience, Amy's focus is on the company operations and financials. Amy's mission is to help grow Sterk Financial Services with a strong foundation making it the financial planning company you'll want to grow with!

KT is the go to person for all special projects. KT spends many hours working behind the scenes to better our processes to allow us to better serve you!
KT also provides support to our Registered Representatives with Woodbury Financial Services in Iowa, Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska.

Matt joins our team from a separate location in Lincoln, Nebraska. Matt has been a Registered Representative with Woodbury Financial Services for over 9 years.
As the Regional Sales Director, Matt works with Mary to help assist over 53 Registered Representatives with Woodbury Financial Services in Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
